All dogs need to learn to be bathed and brushed, to have their nails trimmed and their ears cleaned. Some breeds, like the poodle for example, as well as terriers and cocker spaniels need to be professionally groomed at regular intervals during their lives.
A coat free of mats, burrs and tangles, and skin free of fleas and ticks means your dog will be comfortable and happy.
I believe that all dogs should enjoy being groomed. It should be an enjoyable experience for an animal to receive a bath and the massage that comes with the warm soapy water. They should feel comfortable and relaxed.
Grooming is more than for looks. it is an important part of preventative health care.
